As well as successfully writing songs for such performers as Teddy Pendergrass, Wilson Pickett, and Aretha Franklin prior to hooking up as a performing team, Womack and Womack songs and sounds have been recorded and used by Sam Cooke, the Jackson Five, Jimi Hendrix, Elton John, Eric Clapton and how could one forget the the Valentinos “It’s All Over Now”, which become a world wide smash when covered by The Rolling Stones. They've also had classic hits of their own, such as the heartbreakingly lovely 'Teardrops'.
